Remove Pet Hair With Bissell

January 5th, 2009 by saveyspender

For christmas we got my mother the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Vacuum. I love this thing as it really does pick up all of Bissell Vacuumour pet hair. We have 3 cats, 3 dogs and a bird that all leave a huge mess and this thing got our carpets very clean.

My mother had vacuumed with our old vacuum the day before so the carpet you think would have been very clean, well once she tried the Bissell it was proven not to be clean. We have a large open floor plan home and my mom usually has to empty the vacuum once per floor. This time she emptied it 5 times just on the first floor.

The next time she used it she only had to empty it 3 times, but for me that is enough proof that this thing really works. The best part is if you can get your dog to stay still you can actually use an attachment on the vacuum to get excess pet hair off of your dog. We have not tried this as our dogs run from the vacuum.

Overall we are very happy with this purchase and the best part is the vacuum did not cost a ton, it’s $169.99 on the Bissell website and in most stores too.

My Rating of this product
10/10

Top 10 Money Saving Tips For 2009

January 2nd, 2009 by saveyspender

10. Buy in bulk if you have the room. Bulk food can be cheaper, make sure to compare though as sometimes it is not.

9. Pay off your credit cards early so that you are not paying interest on your money.

8. Shop with cash or with debit. That way you are only going to spend what you actually have.

7. Create a budget and stick to it. If you have never done this before check out these tips.

6. Coupons are your friend. Use them along with ads to get the best deals, yes stores do allow this.

5. If you order the Sunday paper split the bill with a neighbor or friend. Share the ads and coupons with each other.

4. Find stores that accept online coupons and use them as much as possible.

5. Buy in bulk share and split the cost with friends.

4. Don’t buy something just because it’s on sale, if it is something you really want, need or something new you want to try go ahead.

3. Eat something before you shop, but don’t eat a lot if you find you pick up nothing when your full. Shopping on an empty stomach can make you buy more, while shopping on a full stomach can keep you from getting what you nee.

2. Make a list and stick to it.

1. Comparison shop and bring competitors ad’s to stores with you. Many stores will give you the competitor price if you can prove it.

Start Your New Year Off The Right Way

December 31st, 2008 by saveyspender

Sometimes saving money is not a good thing. Those times are when you are donateing to a charity. This year more people will need money, food and clothing. If you have any to spare you should look into helping. One great way to help is to check out heroes at home It’s a program from sears that helps families of solders who need things that they just can’t afford or get right now. You can check out what they need by family and donate that item or money for it. You can also just donate money. It’s a really great cause as these people are off fighting for our country, and even if you don’t agree with the war, you can still help our troops by helping them give their family a good christmas. If you want to know more just check out this video it explains a lot.

I know so many of you reading this shop at sears, think about how much you spend and how much you could give these people instead. If you don’t shop at sears maybe you should check them out. They are really a good company for doing this, it’s a great idea and it shows that we do support what they are doing and we do think the world of them, even if we don’t always show it.

December 24th, 2008 by saveyspender

I hope that you have all of your christmas shopping done by now as I would not want to be out today. Even if you don’t I’m sure your thinking a head to all of the after christmas sales going on. I have come up with a list of sales I have found, feel free to add anymore you know of in the comments area.

Lane Bryant is doing a 60% off sale and you can Enjoy 15% off outerwear, Use promo code 000151504 at checkout. Expires 1-02-09. The best part is for this sale, you can shop today or tomorrow too.

There are also some great sales going on at Walmart, Macys and Target where you can find great deals on almost anything as these stores want to be ready for 2009.

The one thing you want to watch out for are stores that will mark things up then mark them down. Or say you are getting a great deal, when really you are not. Check around and make sure you get the most for your money.

Holiday Gift Ideas: The Laptop Bag

December 16th, 2008 by saveyspender

If your looking for a great gift for a collage student this year you should check out these really cool laptop bags from
Rainebrooke
. They have many different styles colors and types. They are great for the style concerned women or man. 125Many don’t even look like laptop bags and that can also help keep people from takeing off with them.

One feature of a few of rainebrooks bags that I like is that some come with cellphone accessories and more. It’s really nice to have that extra storage that way you don’t have to carry a purse or other holding device with you.

They also have great styles for the sporty type who may not want the girly look of a purse type bag. For men they also have a simple but very cool laptop bag that doesn’t make you look like your going to the office.
