I am really thinking about buying a home within the next 5 years or so. I am hoping to be in a place where I can buy a home and right now I’m taking some steps to do this. One I have opened a savings account and am hoping to be able to add a little money here and there to it so I can save money for a down payment. I’ve also been looking at helpful websites like Aurora loans to get advice and ideas on how to save and get that home I want.
Another thing I am doing is looking at and following the housing markets in areas I would like to live in. It’s always good to know what areas are increasing in growth and what areas are declining over time. Maybe an area with good school a few years ago, doesn’t have great schools now. Maybe the value of the homes in your perfect neighborhood went from increasing in value to decreasing due to homes going into foreclosure. Maybe you want that foreclosed home to make a profit down the road and you can get approved for a great mortgage just for that type of home.
For me I would love to buy homes I need to fix up, but at the same time home in a good area is a big need for me to as I would be living by myself. For me though my perfect home would still need a little work, would have at least three bedrooms and a nice yard for a flower and vegetable garden. I think the reason I have decided to start saving now is that I’m in an apartment and I can’t have a garden. I love to garden!

One thing I love about the internet is that you can find such amazing deals right from your own home. You don’t have to put on coats, shoes and spend gas to get to the mall only to spend more money on items that you could save on. You also get to miss the crazy shoppers and waiting and waiting to check out. You know that problem it’s either a slow cashier or someone who has a million questions or problems holding up the line.
A site I have used a few times called nomorerack is one of these really amazing sites where you can find some really great deals. I’ve gotten items for just a few dollars that were worth much, much more then that. I know your thinking that’s a little crazy, but you can check out these nomorerack reviews and see that I am not the only one who has found some great deals and is very happy with the site. I did some of my holiday shopping back in October with nomorerack and got a few great gifts for people that I would never have been able to afford if I had gone to the mall or a local store.
The one thing I love most about nomorerack is that the sales change pretty much every day at noon, I haven’t been on in a while, but on weekends they use to last all weekend and change Monday. This of course may be different now. I also like that they have added a charity section and friendrack. This is something new to the site where you can get some pretty cool items for referring your friends to nomorerack. You can pick out items depending on how many friends you have. Things like a mini cupcake maker or an iPad2!
I know your thinking "nomorerack scam!” but trust me it’s not. I have shopped with them and really have had a great experience. I am sure there are people who have not, but this is true for almost any company. Remember you can’t make everyone happy and those that are not happy are more likely to be loud about it. I know I’m asking a question that many may not be ready to answer, but here is the problem in case you have not already heard about it. Walgreens and Express Scripts have ended their partnership to provide discounted prescriptions to many people. Now the good news is that people do have a choice, you could sign up for the Prescription Savings Club at Walgreens.
What is included:
For $10 a year, a family membership covers everyone in your immediate family, including a spouse, dependents 22 and younger and pets. Individuals may join for $5. Join and receive discount prices on your prescriptions.
Other benefits include:
Savings on more than 8,000 brand-name and all generic medications
Discounts on flu shots, pet prescriptions, nebulizers and diabetic supplies
Bonuses when you purchase Walgreens brand products and photofinishing services
Now. I am not extremely familiar with the Express Scripts program as I haven’t been to a doctor in about 3 years. From what I do understand, many people are now having to drive farther for prescriptions and may have to take time off work or deal with crazy hours just to fill them Now I know so some of you that is not a big deal, but when your out of medication you need, it can be.
As a diabetic I would probably be very upset if I had to change pharmacies. When I lived in the country we only had three options in town. What if the only pharmacy to take the Express Scripts program lost it? I would have to drive at least 30 minutes to the city to get medication. That could be a huge deal depending on the condition I needed the medication for.
