I know many women right now are looking for ways to save money on everything they buy. I use to live in a small apartment and when I am able to move out of my parents home I will be in another small apartment. I’m trying to eat better but with the price of everything going up it seems that I won’t be able to afford it. Right now I can have a garden but in an apartment that is hard.

The other day I got in the mail an interesting product. It was stainless steal soap. It was very strange as I wasn’t sure what it was for. When I opened up the package all I had was a piece of stainless steal in the shape of a soap bar and the plastic holder. Then I read the box and loved the idea.

What this stainless steal soap does is it helps to remove odors from your hands. I tested it out by making an omelet with onions, potatoes and mushrooms. I also used some olive oil to fry up the potatoes a little. Now if you have ever cooked with oil you know it can leave a smell on your hands, so I first tried this soup with just my hands having been over the oil. It took away the smell and I was impressed. Then I chopped up the onion and of course my hands smelled horrible so I used it again and it worked. I love this product. It really is a great find.

I was looking though amazon.com today and I found a cool device called Kindle. I thought this is an awesome way to read a book. Then I saw all of the things they have for it at the Kindle store and I was hooked.

I don’t have the money to buy one right now, but maybe I can talk someone into getting me one for Christmas. I know a long way away, but that’s my only shot right now.

So many people are getting into the online dating thing. I have done it a few times and it’s been okay but I don’t think it’s for me. One site I did use a lot was Chemistry.com. They do a great job in matching you with people and have a good selection of people. It seems there are people on there that are not on other sites. They also don’t reject as many people as other sites do.

I have met 2 people from that site and a friend of mine has met 5 and is marrying the last one, so I think they area good choice if your looking for love. They do charge a fee to talk to people, but it is a great deal and worth the price

A few weeks ago I bought the XO vision mp3 player from walmart.com. At first I was very annoyed with it. The instructions sucked and it was hard to figure out. The good news is after rereading the instructions I was able to get everything to work. I did have to not do a step, they wanted me to do everything though there download service but it wouldn’t work on my computer. I did it without the service and it worked well.

The player cost me a total of $40 and is actually worth it. Not only is it an Mp3 player but it’s a voice recorder, fm radio and more. The bad part about it is you have to use it like a CD player, you cant just browse the songs and pick one. You have to go through each song and search. You can separate different types of songs into folders so thats nice. I haven’t done it yet as I just haven’t had time.

Good buy for the money

I am sure many of you have heard of the Blockbuster Online Program, but I find that many people don’t want to try it out. I have been using it for a few months after switching from netflix. I like the selection and the prices much better at blockbuster and if I want I can take my movies back to the store and get a new one. For me it’s a half hour drive to do so, but if I’m out that way anyway it’s a nice choice to have. It really comes in handy with my little brother who doesn’t plan things well, so he’s always asking me to rent a movie the day before he needs it or the day of. Not a good thing.  

Once I start school up again I’m going to see if I can rent them at the store near my school. That way I don’t have to make a trip out just to exchange. This will help with the brother issue I think. I only get a few exchanges per month, but it’s better then none. The only problem I have noticed with Blockbuster is that sometimes it takes 4 or 5 days to get the movies. That includes the time to send the one you already have back. This may be a post office issue though.

I love home design software it’s usually very easy to use and is a lot of fun. I love the Punch series of software. They have a new one out the New Punch! Landscape, Deck and Patio Designer. It is the most amazing program. I got a chance to check it out the other day and I love the graphics and the ease of use. It’s a great program to help you plan out your yard or other landscape project.

I wanted to start this blog as a way to find some good deals while shopping online. Unfortunatly I had bought the domain and then things came up so I couldn’t do what I wanted. I’ve been slowly working on it since then. Hopfully I will be able to do a lot more soon.

I will be adding new pages and doing product reviews. I have two lined up for this comming week so keep an eye out for those.
