Get Yourself Some Fall Clothing

August 27th, 2008 by saveyspender

Right now is a great time to start looking for fall clothing, not just back to school clothing but sweaters and more. This year the farmers almanac is saying it’s going to be a very cold winter in most areas of the United States. Be prepared for it by stocking up early and getting some great deals.

Right now Lane Bryant is offering a great deal at their website. Not only do they have some Hot clothing but they are giving you the following offer too.
take $25 off a purchase of $75 or more. Use promo code 025009217. Expires 8-08-08.

Right now you can also get 40% off at Apple Bottoms Jeans. How cool is that. I love them because they have a plus size section that rules.

At Frederick’s of Hollywood you can Save $10 off orders of $75 dollars or more. I don’t shop here often, but I just saw that they have plus size bras and I think I have found a new favorite store! I use to go in there, but they had nothing that fit me.

These are just a few off the deals I have found, check back later for more great shopping deals.

Why I Love This Creamer

August 25th, 2008 by saveyspender

Yesterday I was in the store and I stopped to get milk, well right there next to the milk is the coffee creamer and I saw the limited addition International Delight White Chocolate Mudslide creamer. Now this wouldn’t be a big deal except I remember reading a twitter from Just Julie on this. So thanks Julie for making me buy creamer!

I got home and decided at 3pm to make a pot of coffee. I’m happy I did because not only did it give me energy for a few hours, but the creamer was really good. I love international delights creamers anyway, but this one is great if your trying to cut back on your sweets, it’s sweet enough to get that craveing out of you without the calories. Of course if you drink 3 cups in a row with the creamer in it, like I’m doing right now then maybe that calorie cutting doesn’t work well. I spend some time danceing this morning so I guess it’s okay.

Dial Yogurt Body Wash Review

August 22nd, 2008 by saveyspender

A few days ago I was out shopping for body wash and decided that even with a coupon my usual body wash was just too expensive, so I decided to try something new and a few dollars cheaper. I picked up a bottle of Dial Yogurt body wash in Vanilla honey. They come in another scent and type but I liked the smell of this one better.

I got home and had to try it out. I have to say I’m very happy with this product. It felt amazing when I was washing and really made me feel like it was doing something. Now I have extremely dry skin and always have. Usually I can only use the expensive body washbecause other things dry out my skin, but here I am an hour after showering with it for the 3rd time and still do not have an urge to put on body lotion. Hand lotion yes, but that is because my hands are always dry it doesn’t matter.

The cool thing about the Dial Yogurt Body wash is that it actually contains yogurt protean and honey. I was surprised as I’m sure you are. Usually they claim that is what is in these things, but most of the time it’s a bunch of chemicals. Yes it still has a few things I can’t pronounce, but I’m thinking a few might be a type of preservative so that the honey and yogurt don’t act up.

The best part about this product is it was only $3 at my local Wal-Mart compared to $6 for my other brand.

Time To Start Christmas Shopping

August 20th, 2008 by saveyspender

Yes I said it, it’s scary, but I use to work in retail and this is the time that they start thinking about Christmas and the shopping season. Right now with the economy I know many people are not going to be spending much at all this Christmas so finding unique gifts at a good price is something everyone is looking for. Today I have an interesting idea and deal for you right now you can get $10 off any 12 month prepaid club sign-up! Code: GMC$10 at gourmet monthly club.

There are many different types of clubs you can choose from like the cheese club where Cheese Club members get 3 different 12 lb. gourmet cheeses monthly. or you can choose from the beer club, the wine club, the cigar club or the flower club where Flower of the Month Club members get a beautiful seasonal bouquet each month.

Monthly clubs like these are a great way to get gifts for an entire family that they can enjoy all year. It’s perfect for business associates or even your sisters family that lives on the other side of the country. They are also great to give to an elderly person who may not be able to get out and get these things. I’m sure grandma would love to get flowers every month and grandpa may love the beer or cheese.

Product Review, Hp Pavilion dv 6000

August 17th, 2008 by saveyspender

I finally got my laptop this week and I was going to do a review the next day but I decided that I wanted to use it for a few days before I decided how I liked it. I have to say though I am very impressed. I bought mine though circuit city online. I choose to pick it up in store and it was ready when I got there. I even got a coupon for 10% off an accessory, I choose to get a laptop bag. I will be reviewing that later when it actually gets some use. It’s a very cool bag.

On to the laptop, it’s an hp entertainment laptop with a 15.4 monitor and some other nice features I’ll talk about later on. I have to say it was very easy to set up and looks great. It has a built in web cam with programs installed to use it, I still have to figure out how to get it to work with my programs, but I have got it working with the programs on the computer. It also has a built in microphone that works very well. I was surprised. I thought about doing this as a video post, but decided against it.

So far the laptop runs well, the battery last anywhere from 2-4 hours depending on what your doing. I have been able to watch a movie and a tv show as long as I turn off the wireless and shut down the internet. I may end up getting another battery, just because I travel a lot.  I also have not had any problems with it running slow, it’s actually quite fast, that may have to do with the 3 gigs of RAM is has.

It also comes with a light scribe DVD burner, I have not been able to use that yet, as I can’t afford the cd’s or dvd’s right now, but I have used this before and liked it. The only problem i have had so far is getting use to the keyboard and my drastic need for a mouse, which I went out and bought the day after I got the laptop. It’s just easier that way. Over all I would have to say I’m very happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone looking for a computer for themselves or a collage student. You can find these computers at any electronics store or of course Walmart.com

Earn Points For Free Stuff

August 7th, 2008 by saveyspender

I have been a member of my points for about 2 years now. I love this site for one reason. I get points for shopping, then I can cash in those points for gift cards to do more shopping on the site with and earn more points. Okay I don’t do this all the time as I have cashed in for restaurant cards as well. Right now would be a great time to join and Earn Rewards at MyPoints for one simple reason, Christmas is coming and what is one of the best gifts to give? Gift cards! So here is my Savey Spender tip, sign up. Start shopping, reading email, (you get 5 points per email read), taking surveys, (you get points for those too) and have your Christmas gifts ready by the end of October or November.

I plan on really using this service this year to do both Christmas shopping to earn points and redeeming them for gift cards. I have friends that live a distance and I think it would be nice to send them a gift card this year instead of just a card and an I wish I could have gotten you something. So what are you waiting for? Join MyPoints NOW! It’s Free!
