Tropical Traditions Coconut Flakes Review and Giveaway!

I was very excited when I received another chance to review a product from Tropical Traditions. This time I received a gallon1022091050-00 of coconut flakes. The first thought in my head was to make coconut shrimp with it, but I thought maybe a good dessert would be a better idea and a better review. So today I sat down and made some Chocolate Coconut Peanut Butter Balls, now I did change the recipe a little as I did not have coconut flour and I couldn’t grind my oats so I just used some oats we had in our cupboard and it worked just fine. I also used dark chocolate as that is what I like. Of course if you want to stick to organic items you can buy Organic Dark Chocolate as the tropical traditions website. The recipe was very simple and requires no baking! Something that I loved as we are trying to cut back on our energy use. I wasn’t sure what I would think of these coconut balls when I was done with them, but I really do like them. For me they are a little sweet, but my brother ate four, so that can’t be too bad.

As for the actual coconut itself I like it. It does not have that sweet taste that some coconut flakes have as there is not powdered sugar involved. It’s just simple coconut so you can use it for almost anything. I do plan on using it to make coconut shrimp, and I have found myself just eating it without anything. It would be a great additon to a snack mix or trail mix.

Now I know your wanting to win this great prize, so check out the giveaway rules below!
