Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler Review and Giveaway

Posted by Holly | Posted in Giveaways | Posted on 24-05-2012

I am a huge fan of recycling and when I got a chance to review the Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler I jumped at it. Not only was I excited to try the product because it’s new and can be hidden away, but I loved that it would be something that would make recycling easier for me and my family.

6714107253_838a956389_zI stuck my recycler under my sink as this is where I had room and where we tended to put everything. I kept my recycler for pop cans as in Michigan we get $.10 back when we return them to the store. It’s nice and gives me a bit of extra spending money.

What I loved about the recycler is that it not only hides away but it has a lid so you don’t have the smells you have with some recyclers. It closes neatly and fits perfectly in my cabinet! Now that I have moved I’m thinking about putting it in our back room to make it easier to store pop bottles as we already have a bin for the other recyclables that get picked up every two weeks.

Some perks of the Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler

  • Hinged lid attaches to cabinet door with over the door hooks or screws
  • Bag is made from 65% post-consumer resin
  • Bag is machine washable
  • Comfortable handle for transport
  • 5 gallon bag holds 36 uncrushed cans and is large enough to fit 1 gallon milk jugs
  • Great for single stream recyclers
  • Great for apartment living

Disclosure: I was given this product to review by Rubbermaid. All thoughts and opinions are my own unless otherwise stated.
