The Laugh & Learn Dance & Play Puppy is baby’s puppy friend that encourages baby to move, dance and sing along to fun familiar songs! Puppy claps along to the music, wiggles his body side to side to dance, and raises his ears with a pop! With more than 25 sung songs and phrases, baby will learn about ABCs, counting and numbers, parts of the body, opposites, actions, manners, greetings and first words!

The Dance & Play Puppy has two modes: Learning mode and Play mode. Learning mode has fun sung songs and actions that teach about letters, numbers, parts of the body and more! Play mode encourages baby to play along to familiar songs and games like “Happy & You Know It,” blowing kisses, and, of course, reaching up "sooo big!" Baby will love dancing, clapping, singing along and learning so many new things with the Dance & Play Puppy! Requires 6 “AA” batteries, included.

  • Ages: 9 to 36 months
  • Requires: Six AA batteries (included); Phillips-head screwdriver to replace batteries

Review

This puppy is actually a lot of fun to play with, even for us adults. It moves around and sings and your child is learning the whole time. My niece loves this toy and she just lights up every time she sees it.

I love this toy because it really does keep a toddlers attention. Children love music and dancing, at least most do and this puppy does it all, while also teaching your child to count and sing songs. The arms, legs and ears all move so it’s a very visual toy as well.

What I love the most about this toy is that along with saying words and singing songs it has words written all over it so an older toddler can use it to learn to read a few words anyway. Another thing I really love about this toy is that it teaches manners, parts of the body and greetings so your child can learn to interact the right way with people once they get into school or as they are out and in public.

A downside to the toy is that the motor is a little loud, but the toy is also loud so it’s not so bad. Also it’s not a snuggle toy so I would leave it out as a daytime play toy and not put it into the bed with your toddler. I love that the toy is interactive, but only the feet contain buttons to push, so don’t waste your time on the hands as I did!

You can buy the Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Dance And Play Puppy  on Amazon.com for $32.88

Disclosure: I received this the Laugh and Learn Dance and Play Puppy from Fischer-Price to review. All thoughts and opinions are my own unless otherwise stated

This toy was also featured in my Holiday Gift Guide!

Giveaway

Don’t want to buy this very cute puppy, you can win one instead with my giveaway!

One lucky winner will win a Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Dance and Play Puppy!

Highland Heat Blog Tour and Book Giveaway

Scott_Mallory Tour Banner

When Scotland’s Queen Annabella dies, her devastated niece, Lady Marsaili Cargill, takes charge of the seven-year-old prince James, who is second in line to the throne. But rumors abound that the King’s brother—the Duke of Albany—will stop at nothing to fulfill his ambition to govern Scotland. But before Marsi can help the young prince escape to the safety of St. Andrews Academy, she will need to confront the men seeking to use her—and accept the help of the King’s devoted master archer, Sir Ivor Mackintosh. With traitors and assassins all around, Marsi and Ivor must risk all for the little prince James, while hoping for a future that will allow their love to flourish.

My Review

I am a huge fan of this time period it’s right before the well known time of HenryVIII and all of the mess with Scotland and England. It’s a time we don’t always hear a lot about and I think that is why I really enjoyed this book. It was different, but still very familiar. Highland Hero is part of the Scottish Knights series and follows Ivor Mackintosh and Marsaili on an adventure across Scotland. It’s a very entertaining read that will sweep you away into a time where men were a little more honorable and women who spoke there mind were rare. The two fall for each other very quickly, but the story has a few twist before they can get to their happily ever after.

Alex MacDonald is known for his skill as a warrior, his prowess with women, and his vow to never take a wife. But now his chieftain has asked him to make the ultimate sacrifice: wed Glynis MacNeil, a lass famed throughout the Highlands for her exquisite beauty—and defiant ways. Familiar with heartbreak, Glynis refuses to fall for another handsome scoundrel. Yet when Alex’s past sins force an unlikely union, Glynis gives in to temptation and becomes his wife. Will their newfound passion be strong enough to fight the enemy that threatens their home, their clan, and their very lives?

My Review

This is the second book in The Return of The Highlanders Series. In Book I The Guardian we met Ian, Alex, Conner and Duncan and learned Ians story, now we learn about Alex and the surprising twist and turns his past has brought to his present. Not only does he meet Glynis, but he learns that the past has caught up with him and now he must be responsible for it.

Really I enjoyed this book so much that I couldn’t put it down. In fact I read the whole thing in about four hours! I stopped only for a snack and a quick email check as my phone went off a few times with important messages! I love the characters of Ales and Glynis, they are strong willed, but this story is not just about romance and a happy ending, but about trust and putting your trust in the ones you love is the only way to be really happy.

Giveaway

Win one of three (3) sets of both books: Highland Hero (Scottish Knights) and The Sinner (Return of the Highlanders)

One thing I love about shopping at Kroger is that they always have great deals and from November 13th through November 26th, with the purchase of any four participating General Mills products, you will either receive free milk (up to $3; limit of 2) or to receive $3 off your shopping order.

I received a $25 Kroger gift card to check out this deal and I was really happy to see that there were many General Mills products available to buy for this promotion. Items like Pillsbury Ready to Bake Cookies, Nature Valley Bars and Fiber One Bars. I love Fiber One and picked up a few boxes.

    Breast Cancer and GNC: Giveaway

Posted by Holly | Posted in Health and beauty, Savey's Giveaways | Posted on 27-10-2011

    10

October is Breast Cancer awareness month in case you didn’t know. I have been lucky in my life not to have a family member that has experienced breast cancer, but I have had friends that have had it or their family member has.

20111001081332breat-cancer-ribbon_01You can find some great statistics on Breast Cancer at breastcancer.org. One thing I found interesting was that in men, about 1 in 10 breast cancers are believed to be due to BRCA2 mutations, and even fewer cases to BRCA1 mutations. I was surprised that they had this type of statistic on men as most of the time we don’t think about men having breast cancer, but they do.

Breast Cancer effects 1 in 8 women and that is why I try to take care of myself as much as I can. I do this by shopping at GNC. GNC has a large selection of health products for women and the prices and deals can not be beat. I even have a gold card so that I can get even better discounts. What I love most about GNC is that they really do care about your health and wellbeing.

Sam’s Club and General Mills Giveaway

Posted by Holly | Posted in Savey's Giveaways | Posted on 25-10-2011

    34

I love shopping at Sams club and General Mills has partnered with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure to help with breast cancer research. This partnership has been going on for 5 years and it’s raised a lot of money.

This year if you purchase specially-marked General Mills products like Cheerios and Fiber One 90 Calorie Brownies at your local Sam’s Club you can help decide how half of that contribution will be donated. You can do this by voting at PinkTogether.com from now until April 14, 2012.

    46310_475542317428_34184902428_6641332_6629725_n

General Mills’ donations will be divided between two important Komen programs: the Treatment and Assistance Program. A program which assists women in securing care they otherwise may not be able to afford. The other program is Prevention Research, which will help unlock the keys to preventing breast cancer. Voting results will be announced on Mother’s Day 2012.

I took a shopping trip myself to Sams Club and I bought some Cheerios and some Fiber One bars. I also had to buy some peanuts and marshmallows to make Cheerios bars! I love that I can help breast cancer research and feed some really hungry kids all at the same time.
