Eat healthy with Yoplait

May 20th, 2008 by saveyspender

I have been eating yogurt for a long time, since I was a kid in fact. I love it and it makes me feel like I’m doing something good for myself. As many of you know yogurt has done some changes to it’s image, now they have added things to it to help your digestion, even though it always did anyway. The one I have tried is the yoplait plus and I love it. It really did help make me feel better.

In fact I have been having some stomach issues the last month or so. I couldn’t afford to splurge on yogurt but this weekend I was able to buy some, already after just 2 days I’m seeing a difference. It’s wonderful and I’m hoping that it will continue.

They have many different flavors, the one I like the most is vanilla. They also now have 2 new flavors Cranberry Raspberry and Blackberry Pomegrante . Both sound good, too bad my store doesn’t have them, at least not yet.  You do have to like creamy thick yogurt to like this one though, so if you like yours not too thick you may not like this one.

Click here to get a $1 off coupon, you do have to print this, so make sure your store takes home printed coupons. Mine doesn’t so don’t feel bad if yours doesn’t either.

Get your morning coffee

May 7th, 2008 by saveyspender

I love trying new types of coffee and one place that will allow me to do this is Boca Java. I love the selection of coffee they have and the fact that right now you can get $30 off an order of $150. I love when sites do things like this. $150 may be a lot to order but if your buying a gift for someone you can always add an order for yourself.

If your not into spending a lot of money you can take advantage of the $10 iTunes card offer, it only last 10 more days to act quickly. All you have to do is join their club and order 4 bags of coffee. I was a member for a few months until I ended up with too much coffee. I like flavored coffee, but my mom doesn’t so once I move and run out of coffee I think I will join up again.

Snack a little

May 4th, 2008 by saveyspender

I love healthy snacks and I found a really good one for those of you who love salsa but are on the go so much that you can’t sit down and eat it. Sun chips has come out with a great tasting Garden Salsa chip that gives you all of that yummy salsa flavor on the go. The best part is there are 18 grams of whole grain per serving so if you trying to lose that tummy these chips could help.

Why do I love these chips? Well because they actually taste like chips with salsa, they have just enough of a kick that you feel like you have the salsa right there next to you. They also have no trans fat and only 19 carbs per serving too. Check them out, or if you already have share your thoughts.

Rewrite History on your computer

April 27th, 2008 by saveyspender

I have always found that if someone is entertained then they learn more. Since I was a teenager I have played a game called , you may have heard of it. This game is a strategy and war game that allows you to be a great leader of one of the many civilizations that have existed on this planet. The best part about it is that young teens can learn a little about each civilization and some of the things they have accomplished.

The most recent addition to the Civilization group is Sid Meiers Civilization IV Beyond the Sword. I just picked up this game and at first I was frustrated by it. It’s different then the main Civilization IV game, but once you get use to it the game is great. There have been added leaders and events that make the game much more interesting. There have also been a few wonders and other things brought back from the previous civilization games. I’m guessing the company listened to their players.

The graphics are wonderful and it’s a great game to play, the only thing I would recommend is reading the system requirements carefully, if you have an older computer you probably won’t be able to play it. My computer is 5 years old and I had to update my graphics card 3 years ago to play the first issue of this game. Other then that it’s a great game, you do have to have the original Civilization IV to play it.

Low carb eating and good food

April 12th, 2008 by saveyspender

I am diabetic and yesterday I decided I needed a change, I pulled out a really great cookbook that I got a few months ago and started to check out recipes. I hadn’t really looked at it until now, but I’m glad I did.

The book is the Biggest Book of Diabetic Recipes(Better Homes & Gardens and it’s great not only for diabetics, but for anyone else who is watching their carbs. It has over 350 recipes and some sound really good. One I am going to try is the Greek style stuffed mushrooms. They only have 2 carbs per appetizer and they sound really good, but I am a fan of feta cheese and broccoli so that may be why.

The book set up is wonderful as the carb amount is in a huge red box. So if your looking for a set carb number you can easily find it. It’s also sectioned off into many different areas, such as appetizers, pork, beef and main dishes. There are of course some great dessert recipes as well.

Be Entertained and Save Money

April 5th, 2008 by saveyspender

Last year I bought through a gpt site I am on the Entertainment Book. This book is a huge book of coupons and discounts many that can be used over and over. I figured for me the book was a good investment as one coupon they have is for Fashion Bug and it’s 50% off one item. If I bought something that was $90 it would pay for the book and more. I didn’t spend that much but I did get my money back for the book in one purchase.

Books like these are a great way to save money. You can order a book for your area so that you get both local and national coupons to use. My book for example has coupons for Pizza Hut and for a local pizza place. They also have coupons and discounts for 1800 flowers and Omah Steaks. Last year I saved over 200 using this book, just on places and thing that I would have bought anyway. I actually saved a little more then that, but some of the things I bought I wouldn’t have without that coupon. Mostly more expensive clothing and an extra trip to the movies. I have gotten another one for this year and have used a few coupons so far. It’s a great product and one I will be getting every year as long as they make them.
