Beware The Direct Sales Person
I am a direct jewelery seller. I love what I do and I try to be as considerate as possible to everyone I encounter. Recently I had a run in with a Mary Kay women who was pushy and in the end screwed me over. I hope that you never have to deal with what I have and give you these savey tips to keep you out of direct sales trouble.
The first is always take your first impression literally. I have dealt with a few direct sales people in my time and if you like them right off then do business with them. If you do not, then back away and be rude if you have to. This is what I should have done.
Make sure you get everything in writing. You should have a copy of your receipt and a copy of the return policy. If your hosting this should be given to you right from the start. If your attending a party make sure the hostess has it and you also get a copy.
If there is a problem try to get things in writing. Also don’t always trust the word of the direct seller as they will do anything to get a sale.
If possible give feedback on the seller to the origination they work for. Most places want to hear both good and bad things about the people they have selling their product.
Remember you don’t have to run from someone in direct sales. It’s a growing form of business and will keep growing. It’s also a great place to get good deals on things from Jewelery to cookware. Not all direct sellers are bad people, just a few seem to be overeager or out for blood.
Do You Love A Great Deal?
Recently I was talking with my aunt and she went to a going out of business sale for local pharmacies. Most of the things there were around 25 cents each this included things like nail polish, acne treatments and hair die. She said most of it was strange colors, but there were a few good finds.
Looking for events like these that will help you save money on products that you like to use or may need is a great way to save some cash. The downside is that you may have to go though boxes in order to find what you need, but at about 25 cents per item you can’t beat it. Of course the one you find may be priced differently so do watch to see what they are trying to sell you.
Get Cheep Jewelry and More
I know many women right now are looking for ways to save money on everything they buy. If you check out one of my favorite sites Bidz.com you can get expensive high quality jewelry at very good prices, they also offer other things like eye wear and fine art. It’s a bid style site and it can be hard, but it’s also addictive. Sign up is easy and they take paypal and credit.
I tried them out for the first time last year and I loved the ring I got. unfortunately 3 months later I lost the ring and still have not found it, but that made me go back to find something else. Since then I have bought 2 necklaces and a pair of earrings. The jewelry was beautiful and most of it came with a certificate of authenticity. This is really a wonderful site where you can get a really great deal on some wonderful jewelry and more.
